Albury Osteopathic Clinic take pride in providing complete care for our clients. Our goal is the same as yours: to treat the source of your pain so that you can return to your normal daily activities and enjoy life to the fullest.
Osteopathy is a form of manual healthcare. As osteopaths, we recognise that the structure of the body and its function are intimately linked. We examine the skeleton, muscles, joints, nerves, connective tissue, blood vessels and internal organs to understand how they function as a complete unit. All osteopaths are government-registered primary practitioners in Australia. They have completed 5 years of university training. Most osteopaths are covered by private health funds, Medicare’s Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plans, workers’ compensation schemes and motor accident insurers, and many are registered providers for DVA clients.
We are able to treat all musculoskeletal conditions, focusing on spinal, upper limb and lower limb pain. Some of the conditions we can treat include the following:
• Back pain • Headaches • Sciatica • Neck pain • Shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand pain • Hip, knee, ankle and foot pain • Plantar fasciitis
• Sports related injuries • Postural problems • Arthritic/joint pain
At Albury Osteopathic Clinic, we have a number of exciting treatment options designed to deliver the best possible treatment to our clients. We are proud to be able to offer all of the following:
Rehabilitation Clinic using the AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill
With the help of our AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill, we have truly reached the next level of rehabilitation. This state-of-the-art treadmill allows runners and other athletes to keep training whilst recovering from sporting, hip, knee and ankle injuries. It can also be used for weight loss. The treadmill supports most of the client’s weight as he or she runs, allowing the client to access the benefits of running and continued therapy without putting too much stress on past injuries. Recovery is faster and easier for all kinds of injuries as well as hip and knee replacements.

We love to help runners hit the track again pain-free! John Baker is a qualified FMS practitioner and uses this philosophy as the basis for the clinic. Our runner’s clinic includes osteopathic treatment focused on improving function and mobility, video gait analysis, functional movement screening and the AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill. By carefully monitoring your movement and working to correct inefficiencies and dysfunction, we can help you run better, faster, stronger and with less pain.
Remedial Massage Therapy
Our highly-trained massage therapists employ a wide range of techniques to aid your healing. Our massage therapists are trained in dry needling, cupping, taping, gua sha, deep tissue and many other modalities.
When you come to consult with one of our osteopaths, we will take a full health history and concentrate on your individual needs. After this, the practitioner will complete a full physical examination. He or she will look at your body and how it functions as a complete unit. This can help our practitioner determine the cause of your pain.
Once the cause has been determined, a treatment plan will be developed. This treatment might include stretching, joint mobilisation and manipulation, massage or other techniques. The practitioner may also recommend that you use our AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill or specific remedial massage techniques.
Our osteopaths and remedial therapists work closely together and refer within the clinic depending on what you need. They will discuss a treatment plan with you to achieve the most effective results. We may also refer outside the clinic when we know of a program that will be beneficial to you.
If you are in pain and looking for a way to resume an active, pain-free lifestyle, we invite you to contact Albury Osteopathic Clinic. Our practitioners and remedial massage therapists are eager to meet with you and help you achieve a full range of motion.
